EEN Meeting 22./23. February in Saumur

Our French partnerschool from the EEN , L’Ecole Nationale D’Equitation has hosted the successful meeting at 22 and 23 February at their beautiful accommodation in Saumur.
Central theme of the meeting was the Leonardo da Vinci partnership project SPEED (Schools’ Project for Equestrian Educational Development). This meeting had as main focus EQF and the implementation within the project and project management. Results were a clear understanding of EQF, more and new insights in the level 2 instructor courses in six countries (Germany, Sweden, Norway, Portugal, France and The Netherlands). Detailed examples were presented and best practices compared to define the best method for the project SPEED. A model for the next meetings was developed and will include workshops with an equestrian theme for teachers and students. Sharing experiences, getting to know new people and methods, having in depth discussions about equestrian education will help to make European equestrian education more transparent, fitting the EQF, and resulting in an increase of student and teacher mobility.
